Log in with Single Sign-On (SSO)

Calendar Updated 2024-05-08 by

We’re pleased to offer Single Sign-On (SSO) as part of PinToMind. SSO is important for many businesses, especially larger corporations, the public sector, and organisations. It’s a practical solution that enhances the efficiency and security associated with logging in.

What is Single Sign-On (SSO)?

Single Sign-On provides users access to multiple systems with one login. For administration in a business, SSO primarily provides advantages in terms of security and access control, making it a sought-after feature.

For users, it simplifies logging in to various systems within the organisation, as they no longer need to remember and manage more than one password and username. Single Sign-On also streamlines navigating between different platforms and promotes a more efficient workflow.

Supported SSO Solutions

We have launched Single Sign-on (SSO) with support for Microsoft Entra, general SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect solutions. If your business or organisation uses any of these, getting started with SSO for logging in with PinToMind is straightforward.

Setup for account or network

Single Sign-On can be configured for an account or a network. When SSO is set up for a network, the Network Owner can choose to share the setup across the network. Member accounts can then freely adopt the solution from the network or set up their own SSO solution.

Get started by contacting us

Account or network owners must first contact us and request that we enable Single Sign-On for the account or network. From there, you can configure SSO through a simple and intuitive process from the account or network settings.

Invite users you want to grant access

Please note that you still need to invite users to the respective PinToMind account. Only invited users will gain access, even if an SSO solution is in place. This ensures that only the right individuals within the business or organisation can gain entry.

SSO as a requirement or option

As an administrator, you can choose whether users must authenticate with SSO. If you opt for SSO authentication as a requirement, no users can access the respective account without authenticating with the SSO service.
