When one building brings together many different activities and groups of people, keeping everyone informed can be a challenge. At The Salvation Army’s new headquarters in Oslo, Norway, PinToMind provides the flexibility needed to share the right information with the right people.

In the summer of 2025, The Salvation Army moved into its new headquarters in the Ensjø neighbourhood of Oslo. Spread across four floors, the building brings together worship spaces, a community centre and a café, as well as offices and meeting rooms.
With staff, members of the congregation and visitors coming and going throughout the day, there is a real need to share information that is relevant to each group.
The right information in the right place
Visitors are welcomed by a large digital screen at the entrance, helping them find their way and showing them where to go for assistance. Further inside, screens at Café En23 display information about the menu and upcoming activities.
On the upper floors, where the offices are located, screens share internal updates with staff.

From the outset, The Salvation Army wanted its new headquarters to be a welcoming meeting place for the local community.
The ground-floor café plays an important part in this, with large windows and outdoor seating opening onto the square outside, making it inviting to people living and working nearby.
– In the ground-floor café, we display opening hours and present the food and drinks on offer. We also share information about activities such as baby singing sessions, knitting groups, social gatherings for older people and other events taking place at our new headquarters, explains Kesia Søgaard, Project Coordinator in The Salvation Army’s Communications Department.

Different users, different roles
Although Kesia has overall responsibility for the screens throughout the building, she has made sure that several colleagues can help manage the content. This makes it easier to keep information fresh and up to date.
With PinToMind, she can add as many users as needed and give each person access based on their role. Everyone can manage the screens and channels relevant to their work, without having to navigate content that doesn’t concern them.
Keeping staff informed
The building is home to nearly 160 employees, all of whom need access to up-to-date information. That’s why there is a digital information screen on every floor.
– We have screens specifically for staff, where we share information about quizzes and football training, birthday greetings, seminars, weather forecasts and local metro timetables, says Kesia.

Staying connected with PinToMind Go
The Salvation Army also uses the PinToMind Go mobile app to share information beyond the screens in the building.
The app has been used at events such as the Norwegian Street Football Championships and The Salvation Army’s annual congress, as well as by the local congregation at Ensjø.
