Check your screens - 3 tips to ensure updated screens

The reason for this is most of the time found in the fact that the hardware you are using needs a little service. Below we have gathered a few easy tips for you so that you can better ensure that your equipment works optimally.

1. Check that your screens are online

Does your screen not display the content you would expect? Log in and make sure the screen is online. Is it offline? If so, we recommend having a look at this support article.

2. Have a look at the screens

Make it a habit to take a quick look at the screens as you walk past them. Then you will be able to see if something does not look like it should, and if so, make sure to fix it as soon as possible.

3. Perform a screen service

In order for the screens to work optimally, from time to time they need a little care in the form of a service, so that both firmware and Player app are updated. Firmware is the “operative system” in the screens, and our app is “the program” that is used to display the content.

Regarding hardware, we recommend that you find support articles for such updates at our support pages. Go to the section for hardware at the bottom of the page, and click on the category that fits for your hardware, and the relevant article there. Not all types of hardware are good fits for displaying public screen content. Therefore it can be smart to check if your hardware is among what we recommend here.

We would also like to remind you that it is possible to upgrade old screens with a Ugoos mini PC for prolonged lifetime. It is an environmentally friendly and cheaper alternative than buying a new screen, and yet it does provide you with the newest software. You can not really expect a screen to last for more than 3-5 years, so it is a good idea to have a plan for renewal and replacement of screens over time.
