New possibilities with calendar-posts

What is happening today? Is the meeting-room available? What is for lunch? Does anyone have a birthday? Calendar-posts can be all kinds of things, and now we have made them even more flexible!
Retrieves automatically from Google, Outlook and many more
The pintomind-screens retrieves "what is happening" automatically. The only requirement is that the calendar is available as a subscription calendar in ics-format, which is available from Google, Outlook and many others. Events disappear from the screen automatically when their time is passed, and new events are retrieved continuously.
Display multiple calendars in the same post
Do you have a separate calendar for each meeting-room? You can merge multiple calendars in the same post, thus creating an overview of what is happening. If you have several calendars, you can give each calendar a color and "label", so that it is easy to see which calendar an event comes from.
Various calendar-posts
You can select different calendar-displays, and in addition adjust these for what you need. Below you find some tips for what you can use calendar-posts for.
- Meeting-room-calendars
Retrieve multiple calendars for the same post, and you get an overview over what is happening during the day or week. If you select 'replace location with label for calendar' all the events from a calendar will be marked with where the event is happening for instance in the meeting-room the calendar belongs to. - Menu in the cafeteria
Create a calendar for what is served in the cafeteria, and select for location and time will be hidden. You will get a good overview of what is served today or the coming days. If the food is served until for instance 3 p.m, you can add that time in the calendar, and today's menu will be hidden after that time. - Congratulations
The possibility to "hide the post when the calendars are empty" enables you to display a calendar-post only when there is something to display. If you register birthdays in a calendar, and select for them to be repeated yearly, you get a great function which is easy to manage. - Display "Occupied" instead of name of event: Can for instance be used if you want to show whether or not a meeting-room is available -- without letting everyone know which event is held in the room.
- Display notes for events: Used if you want to add additional information about the event, for instance the speaker.
- Hide time: If the time is not relevant, for instance if you use the calendar-post to display tasks or menu.
- Hide end-time: Not sure how long the meetings last? Now you can select that the time for when the event finishes will be hidden. It is also new that the time only is displayed once if start- and end-time are the same.
- Hide location: If there is location in the calendar, but you don't want to display this on your public screen, - for instance if you have a calendar for a specific meeting-room, and it is obvious that the events take place in this room.
- Replace location with label for calendar: If you merge several calendars in the same post, you can give each calendar a name (for instance name of meeting-room), and select this option, and each new event from that calendar, will be given this location.
- Hide post when calendars are empty: No point in displaying the calendar when there is nothing in it? Then you can select that the whole post will be hidden when there is no event to display.
More flexible calendar-posts
We have updated our system, and added more display-options for calendars. Normally these options are hidden, but you find them easily by clicking "more display-options" when you create or edit a calendar-post.
